Conor McGregor welcomed former mob boss Michael Franzese and his family to the Black Forge Inn pub over the weekend. The UFC star posed for photos with 73-year-old Franzese, who was a caporegime in the Colombo crime family, and son of former underboss Sonny Franzese, who died aged 103 in 2020. He claims that he was once making $8million per week during the height of his criminal career.

Franzese was sentenced to 10 years in prison on conspiracy charges in 1986 and turned his back on crime after his release. He is now a motivational speaker and writer. He wrote on X: "Had the absolute pleasure of spending time with “The Champ,” Conor McGregor, at his Black Forge Restaurant in Dublin. What a “class act” he is. Absolute gentleman.

I’ll be attending his upcoming fight in Vegas, end of June." In a another post, Franzese added: "My beautiful wife and daughter with Conor McGregor at his Black Forge Restaurant & Club in beautiful Dublin. Conor took a break from training for his fight in Vegas this June.

He was great and so is the city of Dublin.
