Strictly Come Dancing may have just leaked another name for the upcoming 20th anniversary special series. Chris McCausland has made it clear he isn't opposed to a potential stint as he teased "it's on the cards." The actor and comedian chatted to This Morning 's Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard this Thursday, June 27, as he spoke about his latest news, including Sky show Bad Tidings which he fronts alongside The 1% Club 's Lee Mack .
But just as their conversation drew to a close, with Chris claiming that Lee was a "pleasure to work with" despite the pair "getting on each other's nerves", Cat and Ben grilled the star over his thoughts on a Strictly appearance . Ben questioned his guest as the presenter said: "are you going to be a contestant on this year's Strictly?" To which Chris replied: "do you know what? It's on the cards", and the confirmation made Cat gasp in astonishment. "I'm thinking about it.
It would be so far outside my comfort zone and I don't know if I'm logistically capable of doing it", the star added but he pointed out there's a huge obstacle as he would be the first blind star to show off his moves on the dancefloor. "Can I be taught to do something that I can't even see what it is?", he asked before turning the tables on Ben: "would you do it? I'll agree to it if you agree to it" Chris' claims follow previous reports according to which Strictly bosses had allegedly signed him up for the 2024 series of the popular competition, making history once again after Ros.
