The BRS on Friday continued its attack on the Congress government alleging that it has deliberately mortgaged the future of Singareni collieries by not opposing the auction of coal blocks in Telangana by the Centre. The BRS working president for the second day in a row, questioned Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on the auctions saying that in 2021, Revanth demanded the transfer of four coal blocks in the state to Singareni. “Today you sent your Deputy CM to participate and promote the auctions that you and Congress opposed in the past.
Do you not agree that auctioning of Telangana coal blocks will essentially pave the way for eventual privatization of Singareni under the guise of disinvestment?” Rama Rao asked in a post on X..
