Wednesday, May 29, 2024 On May 24, China Eastern Airlines introduced its latest addition, a Zootopia-themed airplane, elevating its partnership with Shanghai Disney Resort to new heights. This collaboration celebrates the pioneering Zootopia land, which opened in Shanghai the previous year. This aircraft, dubbed the Disney-Zootopia Express, marks a first for China Eastern Airlines by incorporating three-dimensional imagery on its exterior through a unique livery design.

As it traverses the skies, the beloved Zootopia characters appear as if swept by the wind due to the aircraft’s velocity. Inside, the Zootopia motif continues with animal designs from the movie adorning luggage bins and fold-out trays showcasing a map of Zootopia land. A special unveiling event took place in a custom Zootopia-themed “airport” within a Shanghai hangar.

Invited guests included residents and children from Cangyuan and Shuangjiang counties in Yunnan Province, who have benefited from China Eastern Airlines’ community support programs. They joined the celebration alongside Zootopia’s own Judy and Nick, embracing the aircraft’s magical allure. Further enhancing its customer experience, China Eastern Airlines has launched a Disney-dedicated section on its mobile app.

This feature enables passengers to view the schedules of all six Disney-themed aircraft three days before their flights. Additionally, Shanghai is enhancing its role as a vital hub for inbound tourism in China with the recent .
