RENO, Nev. – Chef Charlie Palmer’s highly anticipated annual Pigs & Pinot event is back at Grand Sierra Resort and Casino (GSR) from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m.

on Saturday, June 22. For one night only at LEX Lounge at GSR, guests can enjoy a variety of dishes featuring locally raised pork paired with an exclusive selection of pinot noir wines all curated by Charlie Palmer Steak. This signature event will feature culinary stations that include a bevy of delicious pork dishes made with fresh ingredients.

In addition to the unique, creative dishes, and a selection of Sonoma County’s renowned pinot noirs, guests will have the opportunity to mix and mingle with fellow foodies, winemakers and winery representatives, as well as culinary icon Chef Charlie Palmer. This year’s event will feature seven culinary stations where guests can enjoy perfectly cooked pork dishes, including La Caja China Roasted Pork Cuban, a unique twist on a classic sandwich served with grilled corn and Spanish rice; Tacos Al Pastor, made with pineapple-marinated pork shoulder; Pork Belly Chicharron, served with a salsa macha for a hit of spice; and Katsu Pork with apricot sauce, made with a panko-crusted pork cutlet. The dessert station will provide a sweet ending with an assortment of pork-inspired treats, including chocolate-dipped maple bourbon candied bacon, strawberry bacon croffle topped with a fresh and tangy Meyer lemon cream and paletas, a frozen treat with three flavors to choose from including mango.
