Choosing not to “name and shame” the establishment, he shared a photo of the drinks and described the cost to his 131,000 Instagram followers. “A rose and a pint was $42.50 at a bar tonight,” his caption read.

“You got to feel for bars competing with wage increases, product increases and taxes.“But $42.50????? I just told my wife to drink slowly ‘cause there’s no second round!!” Stunned followers fled to the comments, with one writing: “I would have said where is the rest of the bottle for that price”.

“I think you got ripped off — even if that was a 250ml pour on the rose it would be $18 at the most. Pretty sure your beer was not over $20,” a second said. “That has to be a mistake! Did you question the price of each?” another said.

“Ridiculous,” a comment said, as another added, “Out of control”. 7NEWS.com.
