CCC School of Cricket the premier cricket school under the able guidance and direction of it’s veteran cricket coach Nelson Mendis completed successful seven day tour to Bangladesh which was their 25 th tour. The main objective of these annual tour to foreign countries are for the young cricketers to gain exposure to social cultural and educational aspects on foreign soil and also to provide them with ample opportunities to help develop their personalities through leadership, work and inter personal relationship with their foreign counterparts and other officials,they would meet on tour . The CCC school senior team led by Omith Ratnayake and Junior team led by Nadil Dodangoda both being Nalandians .
The CCC school of cricketers on tour comprised a mixture of well experienced and inexperienced players .The senior and junior teams were honoured to play all matches on turf wickets and had the opportunity of playing two day night matches and gained vast experience playing in beautiful grounds in Bangladesh. The seniors played eight matches and won four matches while most outstanding player on the tour was skipper Omith Ratnayake who scored a century and three half centuries and shone as an all rounder .
Followed by Nadew Dodangoda ,Mokitha Kankanamge ,Jonathan Kanakaraj ,Bashitha Herath ,Navindu Kumara apart from his batting his wicket keeping was superb. Meanwhile the CCC school juniors played nine matches and won seven matches .Rasindu Jayasinghe and Lindula Kapurubandara shone.
