Carry On star Anita Harris has left fans worried for her after a hospital dash. The comedy actress, 82, was set to head to the Pantomime Awards on Tuesday (June 18), but had to miss out on the star-studded event after suffering a fall on the high street. She offered an apology to her friends – but explained missing the event couldn’t be helped.

Taking to X to explain the situation, Anita said: “Apologies to my fellow panto buddies at the Pantomime Awards this evening. Had a bit of a mishap in the high street, tripped while dodging a child’s buggy but luckily kind-hearted people came to my aid. “Currently on my way out of hospital, but I’ll be back on my feet in no time.
