Caffe Royal London is making its debut in Essex on Tuesday next week after bosses took over an empty unit at the shopping centre and carried out a refurbishment. Owner, Attif Chaudry, currently operates two stores in Kings Cross and Marylebone and is confident his business will now be a hit in Basildon. The coffee shops has its own original blend of green bean coffee, as well as selling a range of home-made paninis, toasties, crepes and waffles.

Caffe Royal has a commitment to making their food in house in the morning to maintain freshness and is strictly keeping to organic coffee and produce. Mr Chaudry wants his coffee and food to be distinct from widespread chains like Starbucks and Costa and aims to “bring a smile to customers faces.” He said: “Coffee is what we are about, we want to cheer you up, we want our baristas to be able to ask you about your day, how it is going.

“When I get coffee, I want it to make my day better and unlike chains like Starbucks and Costa, we don’t want you to have to buy any ‘off-the-shelf sandwich,’ we make everything in house, fresh. “Ready-made and not delivered, everything from our sandwiches to our crepes, waffles, paninis and toasties along with our organic coffee and milkshakes. “We are really confident we will give an amazing experience to Basildon.
