The developer and owner of Cabot Circus says that it is moving the shopping centre into a new phase as it targets ‘multi-use’ brands that can provide more than just a shopping experience. Cabot Circus, situated in the heart of Bristol , has been a big part of the city centre since opening in 2008 and now looks like undergoing a new ‘evolution’. Hammerson says that since ‘retail is evolving, Cabot Circus needs to evolve’ with it.
Recent additions to the shopping centre, including EE’s Experience Store , form part of the plan to allow shopping with a ‘purpose’. Shelley Taylor, Asset Manager at Hammerson, says that new brands and ventures will be coming to Cabot Circus over the coming months, including those that would fill the gaps left by the departures of Showcase and Jungle Rumble .
