Sydnie Christmas beat off tough competition from across the series to be crowned the 2024 winner of the ITV show after wowing judges and as well as viewers at home with an incredible performance of Somewhere Over The Rainbow during Sunday's (June 2) live final. After hosts and revealed her as the winner, an emotional Sydnie shouted: "Oh my god" after learning she'd beaten magician Jack Rhodes to the title.
The shocked singer then bursted into tears and said: "I don’t know what to say, I cannot believe the amount of love that I’ve felt. I am overwhelmed with love and it’s the most amazing thing and I wish every person in this room feels the way I do with this love, it’s amazing, thank you so much." All four judges seemed thrilled by the decision of the public and took to their feet to show support to Amanda's golden buzzer act ad joined in with the standing ovation from the studio audience.
Amanda was drowned out by thunderous applause after Sydnie took to the stage earlier in the night out to peform her version of Somewhere Over The Rainbow. The judge said: "I know how long you have waited for this moment, it was utterly spellbinding and perfect in every way. It was just gold dust.
