Bristol Airport has sounded the alarm for travellers regarding a fresh luggage regulation. Despite the UK's plans to scrap the 100ml liquid limit, Bristol Airport hasn't yet got the necessary scanners in place, prompting a reminder to passengers using the South West travel hub. Passengers intending to fly from Bristol Airport are being advised to double-check their baggage contents before setting off to prevent hold-ups at security checkpoints due to excess liquids.

A spokesperson for the airport stated: "Bristol Airport continues to align ourselves with all regulated guidance issued by the Department for Transport to deliver security requirements and welcome the introduction of new technology which will further improve the airport customer experience in the future from June 2024 onwards. "We are investing over £10m in security equipment enhancements, as with all complex and large-scale projects we are aware of some supply chain challenges, and we are continuing to work to the June 2024 deadline.
However, customers should be reminded there are no immediate changes to the rules governing what can be taken through security as a result of this initiative, and the current hand luggage restrictions remain in place."
