Bridgerton fans have been in a spin over the final episodes of season 3 — but eagle-eyed viewers were left with questions about one character after noticing some changes. Genevieve Delacroix, known to her clientele as Madame Delacroix, is the most sought-after modiste by the Ton. Since season one, she has been the Bridgerton family's top choice for ball gowns.
However, the character faced some difficulties keeping her business until she teamed up with Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) to deliver Lady Whistledown's society papers to the printers to evade the Queen's suspicions in return for promotion. Season three saw even more changes for the character, including a new shop, which has left fans with questions. But luckily, actress Kathryn Drysdale has taken to Instagram to clear things up.
Explaining why the shop looked much more lavish this season, she said: "Thanks to Pen helping boost her business she upgraded and got a new shop. See before and after." However, fans were confused about how she was able to handle making so many dresses for the ladies of Mayfair so quickly.
To which, the actress explained: "She has a team of seamstresses who work in the back or from home. She designs the dresses but doesn’t make them all." Fans also noticed that Genevieve is only ever seen wearing black dresses, despite her talent for designing dresses in all kind of colours.
