The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC), has placed Nigeria at high risk of cholera transmission and impact, as it declares the ongoing cholera outbreak a public health emergency. The NCDC also disclosed that as of 24th June 2024, 53 deaths have been recorded out of 1528 suspected cases across 31 States and 107 Local Government Areas in the country.
