A Bolton non-for-profit organisation helping businesses secure better value energy deals is celebrating its 10th birthday. Box Power CIC, based in the town centre, made a £30,000 donation to charity to mark a decade in the energy consultancy business . The organisation, which is the UK’s first energy consultancy, donates 100 per cent of its profits to charity and has donated £800,000 to charity to date.

In honour of its milestone birthday, it donated £10,000 each to Bolton Hospice , Bolton Lads and Girls Club and domestic abuse charity Fortalice. Box Power founders, Corin and Tricia Dalby, said: “It was amazing to see so many guests at the event, it was a truly spectacular evening with the mayor of Bolton, clients and charities in attendance, a wonderful event to celebrate and reflect on Box Power’s outstanding achievements over the past 10 years.

” Corin and Tricia founded Box Power CIC, after their son Benjamin was diagnosed with autism. Both parents gave up their jobs to spend more time with their son, which included both Corin and Tricia selling their large, multi-million-pound energy brokerage company to a PLC in 2012.
