Executive Director of the Romanian Publishers Association (AER) Mihai Mitrica says that the 2024 edition of the Bookfest International Book Fair was a successful one, despite the fact that "being close in time to elections" affected the audience figures of the book launches. "I think it was quite a difficult Bookfest to organise, because besides the small resources of the association there were some computer incidents, let's say, that paralysed our Bookfest.ro site, at some point, but, summarising the days of Bookfest 2024, I can say that it was a successful edition, with beautiful launches with people who were happy to see each other.
