Women can try their hand at cricket in a new event coming to Bolton Cricket Club to promote diversity in sport. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced its Taste of Cricket campaign, which will see over 100 recreational clubs across England and Wales opening up their doors to their local communities for a special match tea. Through the language of food , each special match tea event, sponsored by Remitly, will showcase different stories of community clubs and volunteers who are driving positive change within the game and improving access to recreational cricket.

Starting on June 30, the game will take place at various locations, with Krimmz Girls Youth Club in Bolton hosting at the Bolton Cricket Club on Saturday, July 6. A spokesman for the group said: “We are excited to share an upcoming event that you'll find both enjoyable and meaningful. “The ECB is launching Taste of Cricket, a series of over 100 events celebrating inclusion and diversity in grassroots cricket.

“One of these events, hosted by the Krimmz Girls Youth Club, is happening right here in Bolton! “This event is a fantastic opportunity to experience the spirit of cricket, enjoy a vibrant community atmosphere, and support the celebration of diversity within the sport. “There will be activities for all ages, delicious food, and a chance to connect with others who share a love for cricket. “We'd love for you to join us in supporting this wonderful initiative.

Let's come together and make.
