The Scotland legend's tongue-in-cheek clip supporting Gareth Southgate and his team has gobe viral. Former Scotland manager Gordon Strachan has appeared in a bizarre video wishing the England team good luck ahead of the Euros. The retired midfielder, who managed Scotland between 2013 and 2017, was seen in the video on social media waving a St George's Cross flag.
In the clip the 67-year-old, who is known for his sense of humour, said: "Hello, everyone. It's Gordon, here. Like everybody else, I'm excited about the Euros about to start.
"I want to wish the lads the very best of luck. Hope you score a bucketful of goals and, if you do, I'll be going bonkers." He is then seen raising an England flag and waving it as he declares: "Come on England, it's coming home, three lions on the shirt, vindaloo.
"Southgate, all the best. Hope you score plenty." The stunt was shared online by entertainment subscription company Good Life+ on X, formerly Twitter.
They captioned the video: "The Euros kick off on Friday, with Scotland vs Germany, so we asked former Tartan Army player and manager, Gordon Strachan, to send a good luck message...
and this is what we got. "Sharing without comment." Strachan won 50 Scotland caps in an international career spanning 1980 to 1992, and provided one of Scotland's most iconic goal celebrations after netting at the World Cup in Mexico in 1986.
The former Aberdeen star, who spent a number of years playing and managing in England, was manager for Scotland's 2-2.
