Britain's Got Talent viewers were left seriously confused over the abrupt end to the show on Saturday night. Not only were they questioning why an act had been "cut off" before their results were announced, but judge Simon Cowell appeared to vanish during the episode. It all happened as illusionists Magicians Assemble took to the stage.

Four past contestants on the ITV series united in an act where they hoped to prove time travel was real. It consisted of a number of tricks from random numbers matching a tattoo on one of the magicians' heads, to card tricks and sand appearing in a tea cup. But just as viewers got into the performance they were left confused, noting it all ended rather abruptly as the episode came to an end.

Ahead of an extra episode on Sunday night before next week's semi-finals, judge Simon was called up to the stage for the final part of the act. He was blindfolded and told he was safe, as he was made to stand in the centre of the stage. Suddenly, one magician named Ben threw a sand-filled timer at the floor, causing it to smash.

Instead pieces of paper were seen floating where he once stood, and then the episode came to an end as Simon was heard asking where he was. Viewers were very confuse.
