The Bahamas Golf Federation (BGF) is preparing to send a junior national team to the 2024 Caribbean Amateur Junior Golf Championships, scheduled for July 1-6 at the Caymanas Golf & Country Club, at Caymanas Estate, Hellshire, Jamaica. The 14-member team, sponsored by RF Bank and Trust Ltd., consists of a number of young and talented players.
“This year, we look forward to the experience and exposure that our kids will receive as they travel to represent their country in beautiful Caymanas Estate in Jamaica,” said a team spokesperson. “We have a very young team this year and we truly see growth in our teams coming forward. They are all very excited and look to go abroad and compete to represent their country.
This year, we focused on the whole child not just good coaching/training. The BGF brought in a mental coach, Allie Macphail RMFT (Registered Marriage and Family Therapist) from Family Medicine Center, who is working with them on how to mentally play their game, and the team trains at Paradise Fitness for strength training. They are going to be ready.
