Avocados are one of the most popular foods around, as they work with so many different meals. But one of the worst things about them is how quickly they can go bad before you get the chance to enjoy them. There's nothing worse than cutting into an avocado only to find it's gone all brown on the inside - so if you're looking for a way to make them last 'months', then one simple storage tip could help.
The trick was shared on Instagram by Bethany, also known as @lilsipper , who often shares helpful food hacks to make your fresh produce last longer and minimise any waste. Boasting more than 1.3 million followers, Bethany's advice is hugely popular - with many people keen to try out her avocado hack.

She said: "This is a trick I do when I have too many ripe avocados at once." If you're not going to eat your ripe avocado but don't want it going to waste, all you need to do is pop it in the freezer - which is said to help the fruit last 'months'.
Bethany added: "When you're ready to use, just run them under hot water and sit them on the counter for a few minutes and you're good to go. Enjoy!" Further explaining in the caption, she said: "The reason I even tried this was because back in 2020 .
