Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley are set to take a hiatus from their roles on This Morning. The popular presenters have announced they will be stepping back from the iconic blue sofa until September to spend the summer with their families. They shared the update with viewers at the conclusion of Thursday's (July 11) show, expressing their gratitude by saying "thanks for having us".
Since taking over hosting duties on March 11, Cat and Ben have been regular faces on the programme, appearing four times a week. Starting Monday July 15, Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary, the audience's Friday favourites, will begin the series of packed summer episodes. Following them, a rotation of well-known daytime TV personalities will keep the energy high throughout the season.
The lineup includes Josie Gibson, Craig Doyle, Rylan Clark, Rochelle Humes, and Joel Dommett, with Sian Welby also returning to the screen after giving birth to her daughter Ruby, reports the Mirror . Throughout the summer period, This Morning will offer viewers a virtual holiday experience with an array of seaside features from around the UK. Chef John Torode MBE will bring flavours of the Mediterranean to the kitchen, and there will be appearances from A-list celebrities such as Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.
