Hit BBC comedy Outnumbered is to undergo a huge shake-up for the upcoming one-off Christmas special. Last month it was announced that Claire Skinner, Hugh Dennis, Tyger Drew-Honey, Daniel Roche and Ramona Marquez would be reprising their roles for the festive episode, sending fans wild with excitement. Bosses revealed that the Brockman family would also be showing off their new addition to the brood - a grandchild - and would also be downsizing from their fictional home in Wandsworth, southwest London.

However, it was reported that the family had ditched their pensive London property - which was estimated to be worth around £1.7 million - in a popular middle-class area in favour of a much smaller home. A TV insider told The Sun that filming had not resumed at the house in Wandsworth, leaving real-life neighbours disappointed.

“Locals are pretty gutted by the realisation as they always liked the association of the rather middle-class family being in their neighbourhood,” they explained. “It didn’t harm house prices either.” 8 luxury Father's Day gift ideas to make your dad feel valued The iconic house will be missing from the episode ( Image: Hat Trick productions - Pat Lee) The Brockman family will be returning this Christmas, but without their house ( Image: BBC/Hattrick) In a statement, BBC bosses announced that Sue and Pete Brockman would be returning to TV screens for a one-off episode which would show their life with their grown-up children Jake, Ben and Kar.
