Race Across the World viewers have been reacting to an announcement about the current series of the acclaimed show this week just before the highly anticipated final. The latest series of the BBC show launched last month and has shown several pairs travelling through eastern Asia as part of a 15,000 kilometre race across several countries. The first couple to reach the finish line in on the island of Lombok in Indonesia are set to win a cash prize of £20,000.
Four pairs remain in the competition following the seven episodes that have already aired. They are friends Alfie and Owen, siblings Betty and James, Eugenie and her daughter Isabel, and couple Stephen and Viv. The winners will be unveiled in the final episode of the series on Wednesday.
Ahead of the eighth episode, it has announced that fans will be given a behind-the-scenes look at the show in a special episode that will be available after the final. It's been teased that it will also act as a reunion for the competitors.
