As the continuity announcer introduced the show the credits failed to appear. Instead a photo of Manchester's Media City remained on screen for around a minute before presenters Jon Kay and Sally Nugent finally appeared.

However they failed to address the issue and just carried on as usual. "Hello there, good morning," Jon greeted viewers. "Welcome to Breakfast with Sally Nugent and Jon Kay.

" His co-anchor then introduced the day's headlines and the show carried on as if nothing had happened. Express.co.

uk has contacted the BBC for comment. This isn't the first time the show has suffered technical glitches. On December 15 last year Naga Munchetty was forced to apologise to viewers after the weather report from Matt Taylor was plagued by issues.
