Now recovering at home and in the company of his pet pooch, the antiques guru expressed a heartfelt thank you to the NHS staff who witnessed him through the scary health issue.
John fell severely ill last week just 10 minute before the scheduled start time for filming an episode of Bargain Hunt. He was immediately rushed to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth where he had to undergo emergency surgery for the placement of a stent. The TV star turned to Instagram to vocalise his immense appreciation for the committed care he received from NHS staff, the Express reports.
Along with a snapshot of himself recuperating in his hospital bed, John wrote: "On a day when junior doctors stage a one-day strike over back pay, I would like to pledge my support and say a huge thank you to the St Mary's hospital drop-in centre." John furt.
