Known to her large family and many friends as "Bo" or "Boma," she was born in Central Valley on October 7, 1933 to Percy and Helen Pierce Redner. She studied Fine Art at Syracuse University and fashion design at Traphagen School of Fashion in New York City. In 1955, she married Justin Marius Sherin of Woodbury, New York.
They were married for 50 years, residing in Monroe, Marathon and Stuyvesant Falls, New York and Powder Springs, Georgia. They raised five children together: Justin Jr., Keith, Kim, Kerry, and Kris.
Justin predeceased her in 2005. "Bo" is survived by her sons Justin Sherin Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA and Keith Sherin of Chatham, Mass.
and Naples, Florida, and her daughters, Kimberly Sherin of Chesapeake, VA., Kerry Sherin Wright of Lancaster, PA., and Kris Wooten of Marietta, Georgia; their spouses Kim Van Goidtsnoven, Janet Wills Sherin, Rita Phoenix, R Scott Wright, and Todd Wooten; and her grandchildren Nick Van Goidtsnoven, Joey Van Goidtsnoven, Jacob Sherin, Zachary Sherin, Maggie Sherin, Rena Phoenix, Skyler Wright, Kyle Wooten, and Connor Wooten.
