The supermarket is recalling its Extra Special Sea Salt & Chardonnay Wine Vinegar Hand Cooked Crisps as they may contain milk. However, this has not been mentioned on the list of ingredients.

An allergy alert posted by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) explains that the mistake has been down to a "packaging error". Some packs of the crisps may contain Cheese and Onion crisps, making them unsuitable for anyone with a dairy allergy or intolerance. The FSA alert further explains that the Asda recall affects 150g pack sizes of the packet of crisps, with a best before date of September 21, 2024.

Asda has said that no other date have been affected by its recall. Anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk has been advised not to eat the affected product . Instead, they can return the product to their nearest store to receive a full refund, even if they don't have a receipt.
