Anya Taylor-Joy reportedly had an "awkward run-in" with the cast of the upcoming Fantastic Four film this week. It was rumoured last year that Anya, 28 - who's starred in films like Split (2016) and Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (2024) -was up to play a version of the Silver Surfer. It however has since been reported that Julia Garner, 30, landed the role.
Marvel Studios announced in February that the cast will include Pedro Pascal, 49, Vanessa Kirby , 36, Joseph Quinn, 30, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, 47. They are set to play the Fantastic Four in the film, due to be released next year. Filming is expected to begin in the UK later this month, as confirmed by the film studios' president Kevin Feige , 51, on the first episode of the Official Marvel Podcast recently.
Some of the cast were spotted in London earlier this week. Pedro, Joseph, Vanessa and director Matt Shakman, 48, are said to have been at the Chiltern Firehouse in the city on Wednesday night. Anya reportedly looked "furious" after "almost bumping into" them at the hotel and restaurant.
Anya was spotted making a "quick exit" from the venue when she "almost bumped into them," according to the Sun . She was reportedly seen "running out" and attempting to not be photographed just minutes after arriving at around 8.30pm.
Pedro, Joseph, Vanessa and Matt are said to have left the restaurant hours later, reportedly just before 11pm. A source told the outlet that Anya - whose credits include Netflix miniseries the Queen's Gambit - lo.
