Since joining TikTok in May, actor Anne Hathaway has only given us three videos—but the tip she drops in today’s clip, filmed on-set while shooting a Shiseido campaign, is worth clicking follow. While sitting in longtime hairstylist Adir Abergel’s chair, the rosy-cheeked Hathaway mentions that she felt like her top lip looked a little “wilted”—cue a dig around Abergel’s hair kit, where he procures a hairpin. (Editor’s note: The difference between a Bobby pin and a hairpin is the size of the opening; a hairpin is wider and more U-shaped.
) From there, she gets to tap-tap-tapping the hair tool across her lip. Hathaway says this movement helps to “get the circulation going” in her lips, instantly giving a little plumping effect. However, her tutorial comes with a necessary warning: “Don’t stab yourself too hard, because you can draw blood,” she says.
