Rochester born and raised, Amy Abts eventually departed the city limits and resided in various regions to include Duluth and Seattle before making her way back “home” in 2014 due to medical issues. “I’m half deaf and have a degenerative cranial nerve condition called trigeminal neuralgia,” she shares. Amy identifies as a disabled artist, actor and musician.

Her full-time job is that of medical actor at Mayo Clinic. She approaches life with a creative lens and does not shy from thinking outside the box. How would you describe your style in one sentence? Casual and creative, loose and cool .

I actually grew up in theater and the result of that was a wardrobe of black clothes, but I'm happy to say I'm not afraid of color anymore.
