Alna Cherry Davidson passed on May 24, 2024 in Virginia Beach. Cherry was born at home to Carl and Lusetta Meekins on August 4,1932 in Wanchese, North Carolina. Cherry was preceded in death by her parents and Cliff Minton, her step-father.

She is survived by Harold, her husband of seventy-three years, her children Holly Korte(George), Steve(Lyn), and Tim(Karen). She is also survived by nine grandchildren Kyle Korte(Mollie), Kurt Korte(Chelsea), Kendall Dickenson(David), Dalton Davidson, Tucker Davidson(Brittany),Tyler Cioffoletti(Chris), Kirsten Burwell(Frank), Scott Davidson(Amanda), Brian Davidson(Amanda) and 13 great grandchildren (Madie, Willie, Walker, Olivia, Danny, Drew, Caden, Hunter, Cole, Brooke, Luke, Austin, Will, and 2 more expected soon). Cherry also leaves behind James Minton, her half brother and Donna Summerell, her half sister.

Cherry was a proud 1950 graduate of Norview High School in Norfolk, Virginia. Cherry met Harold over 75 Years ago while in High School. Cherry worked at C&P Telephone Company but also enjoyed a number of “side jobs”.

She was an instructor for Sears Charm School and an exercise instructor on the Mildred Alexander Show while also doing some local modeling. Cherry taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School plus chaired the Annual Tea Party and Fashion Show at Lynnhaven Colony Congregational Church where she was an active member. Her interests and hobbies included boating with the family and participating as a member of the Bay Ha.
