Saturday, July 6, 2024 Airbus has displayed a life-like, state-of-the-art freighter mock-up to attract more customers to the next generation of freighter aircraft. This full-scale immersive installation aims to entice customers to order the variant, featuring the world’s largest main deck cargo door. The Airbus A350F, adapted from the A350-1000, will offer a range of up to 5,405 miles (8,700 kilometers / 4,700 nautical miles) and an impressive 111-tonne payload capacity.
Airbus will introduce the latest generation of aircraft into the large freighter market, touting ‘unbeatable efficiency’ and reduced fuel consumption. The A350F’s CO2 emissions are projected to be lower than its competitors, enhancing overall economics for its operators. The A350F will seamlessly integrate into airline fleets, with Airbus promoting it as the only ‘future-proof choice’ for operators.
With greater volume capacity than the Boeing 777F, the next-generation aircraft will incorporate all the latest features, reinforcing its status as the most sustainable aircraft in the freighter market. Similar in volume to the 747, the A350F has benefited from years of expertise and engineering, drawing on knowledge from the Beluga and A300-600F. Airbus plans to strategically produce the A350F to ensure a smooth launch and entry into commercial service before increasing overall output to meet the growing order list.
In a strategic move to compete with Boeing’s stronghold in the cargo sector, the A35.
