Wednesday, May 29, 2024 At the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, Germany, Air France presented the new cabin designs that will soon feature in all Embraer 190s operated by its regional branch, HOP! These upgraded cabins, set for their inaugural flight in autumn 2024, represent the airline’s continued commitment to enhancing the quality of its short and medium-haul services. The newly designed cabins will include 110 innovative seats in a 2-2 layout. These seats, covered in leather, will incorporate ergonomic foam for superior comfort and durability.

Features include a recline of up to three inches, a 46 cm wide seat pan, a tray table, ample storage space, detachable armrests, and a coat hook. Each seat’s headrest will be adjustable with flexible wings. A unique retractable holder at eye level will ensure a secure spot for smartphones or tablets, integrated into each seat’s backrest.

The seats are also equipped with both USB A and C ports to charge devices, including laptops, and a dual cup holder for convenience. Business class passengers will enjoy premium positioning at the front of the plane, separated by a movable curtain for increased privacy. Starting January 2025, they will also benefit from an adjacent vacant seat for added space.

The cabin’s aesthetic mirrors that of the Airbus A220, featuring Air France’s signature hues—various blues with contrasting whites and red accents that speak to the airline’s heritage. The seats will showcase symmetrical stit.
