After operating the local Italian restaurant, La Rosa, for 20 years, owner Angela Boole will be retiring this year, and possibly selling the business. Boole, from Naples, Italy, first opened La Rosa in Havelock in 2004, where the restaurant operated for 10 years. In 2014, La Rosa moved to its current location, 1503 S Glenburnie Rd.

“It’s been about 20 years, so it’s time for me to take off,” Boole said. “I’m sad on one side, but relived on the other side. I know a lot of people are generally going to miss me, I’m probably going to miss them too.

” Boole said there are a few young aspiring entrepreneurs who are interested in purchasing the business from her. However, as of May 23, a new owner has not been named. There is a chance that the new owner could take over the space and serve a different type of cuisine.

Boole said one of the interested parties mentioned serving more oriental style dishes, while another potential buyer said they are more interested in making pastries. “I have a few young people that want to take over, and I would love for the community to encourage them like they did with me,” Boole said. “I like that they’re young, two of them are very young, but they are willing to work hard.

” Boole said she hopes to turn the keys over to a young entrepreneur, to give the new generation the opportunity for success. However, even if Boole does not find a buyer, she plans to retire at the end of this year, regardless. Boole purchased a recreati.
