Supervising producer Lucy Carter 'bid farewell' to her team this week, with anchor Michael Rowland posting the announcement to his Instagram on Friday morning. The long-time ABC employee will now be transitioning to ABC Verify as a fact checker after working at the network for 16 years.
Michael, 55, shared an image alongside the announcement which saw Lucy sitting on the ABC News couch front and centre. She was all smiles as Michael and co-host Emma Rebellato sat to her right, while executive producer Tyson Shine and Charles Brice were on her left. An ABC News Breakfast star has quit the show and moved on to another branch of the network.
