A number of people have been caught speeding on a dual carriageway monitored by average speed cameras. St Peter's Way on the A666 goes from the M61 into the town centre. The speed limit is 50mph which is clearly signposted, and cameras line the route.

And in recent months a number of people have been penalised for going too fast.
