Ajax striker Brian Brobbey has namechecked Manchester United after dropping a hint that he could leave the Eredivisie club in this summer's transfer window. Brobbey, 22, has been linked with a move to Old Trafford at various stages since Erik ten Hag was appointed United manager in April 2022. He was strongly linked with a move to the Reds in July that year but United correctly anticipated that he would join Ajax on a permanent deal .

After joining RB Leipzig in 2021, Brobbey returned to Ajax less than 12 months later, re-joining them on loan. He then returned to the Dutch heavyweights on a permanent basis the summer that Ten Hag moved to Old Trafford. And after scoring 22 goals and registering 12 assists in all competitions for Ajax this season, the Dutchman is once again the subject of a possible summer transfer. Teasing about his future, Brobbey told NOS Jeugdjournaal: "Arsenal, I think that is a very nice club. If you look at that stadium.

"A very nice club, but that also applies to Manchester United , FC Barcelona and Real Madrid." Brobbey's latest comments come just a month after he talked himself up as a potential United transfer target ahead of the sum.
