This vibrant event is one of the largest Native American gatherings in the southern United States, offering a unique opportunity for attendees to experience the rich cultural heritage of Native American communities. Schedule of Events Friday, June 7: Saturday, June 8: The powwow will feature world champion Native American dancers and singers who gather to compete for prizes in a family-friendly, alcohol-and-drug-free environment. Hundreds of representatives from tribes across the United States and Canada will come together to celebrate their culture through dance and drum contests.
The event will showcase handcrafted jewelry, beaded moccasins, and colorful feathered regalia, most of which are heirlooms passed down through generations. The Coushatta powwow is not only a competition but also a celebration of Native American heritage.
