T o help Scottsdale voters in the July 30 Primary election become more familiar with the three candidates for mayor and nine City Council candidates, three town halls will be held in June. The Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce, DC Ranch, Scottsdale United Methodist Church and the Scottsdale Progress are sponsoring two mayoral question-and-answer sessions and an informal meet-and-greet session with the nine council candidates. Progress readers have a chance to help guide the discussions by sending their questions for the mayoral candidates and listing topics they’d like the council candidates to talk about.

Email those questions by June 2 to info@scottsdalechamber.com . No questions will be taken from the floor at the two mayoral town halls.

First off is a traditional Q&A town hall with the mayoral candidates – Mayor David Ortega, Lisa Borowsky and Linda Milhaven – 6-7:30 p.m. June 12 at Scottsdale United Methodist Church, 4140 N.

Miller Road. They will return for a second Q&A forum 6-7:30 p.m.

June 19 at the Homestead Community Center at DC Ranch, 18600 N. 98th St., Scottsdale.

From 6-7:30 p.m. June 24 at the Homestead Community Center at DC Ranch, voters will have an opportunity to informally meet with the council candidates.
