Bowling For Soup and Wheatus are ready to take everyone back to the early 2000s for an epic throwback tour. The 1985 pop punk icons and Teenage Dirtbag legends have announced plans to reunite for a nostalgic jaunt across the UK with 10 shows in February 2025 after joining forces at Download Festival over the weekend. Fresh off that weekend, they’ve confirmed tour dates for the new year, starting with a show at Blackpool’s Empress Ballroom on February 5, before the run comes to an end in Bournemouth 10 days later.
Fans got a taster of what to expect when Wheatus frontman Brendan B. Brown joined BFS on stage for a rendition of Teenage Dirtbag at Download, and now his group will be special guests for the tour. The Girl All The Band Guys Want band, led by prolific frontman Jaret Reddick , will be headlining the shows as they celebrate the 20th anniversary of their third album A Hangover You Don’t Deserve.
As well as a cover of SR-71’s track 1985 – which has become one of Bowling For Soup’s biggest hits – the LP also includes fan favourites like Almost, Ohio (Come Back to Texas) and Two-Seater. Wheatus burst onto the scene in 2000 with their debut self titled album, which featured Teenage Dirtbag and their cover of Erasure’s A Little Respect, while they have continued to make music over the last 24 years. Jaret and his bandmates Gary Wiseman and Rob Felicetti are currently performing without guitarist Chris Burney after he was hospitalised last week during the grou.
