Maksim Labkouski Shares of ZimVie ( NASDAQ: ZIMV ) climbed ~13% premarket Thursday after Bloomberg reported that South Korean dental implant maker Osstem is in advanced talks to acquire the U.S.-based MedTech firm.

Citing people familiar with the matter, the publication said that Osstem Implant has submitted a final bid and lined up financing to back a potential deal, leading to the discussions which are at an advanced stage. Still, the discussions could fall apart, paving the way for other bidders, the people added. Osstem and ZimVie ( ZIMV ) refused to comment.



A spinoff of Zimmer Biomet Holdings ( NYSE: ZBH ), ZimVie ( ZIMV ) has added ~7% in value this year, including more than 22% in June, following reports that the Westminster, Colorado-based company was exploring a sale after drawing takeover interest.
