A takeaway has been handed a one-out-of-five food hygiene rating. Sha's, at 113 Montague Street, Worthing, was given the score after assessment on April 16, the Food Standards Agency's website shows. A rating of one means major improvement is necessary.
Elsewhere in the town, G-Lite, at 31 Warwick Street, was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on May 20. And Perch on Worthing Pier was also given a score of five on May 17. Subway, at unit 3, 1 Fulbeck Way, Worthing, was given a score of five on December 6. In Portslade, Subway at 5 Station Road was given the maximum score of after assessment on December 20. In Brighton , Creams Cafe at 86 Western Road, was given a score of four-out-of-five after assessment on April 15.
What the ratings mean: There are six ratings from 0 to 5. 5 - Hygiene standards are very good 4 – Hygiene standards are good 3 – Hygiene standards are generally satisfactory 2 – Some improvement is necessary 1 – Major improvement is necessary 0 – Urgent improvement is required.
