Woman killed in M'singh road crash A woman was killed and six others were injured as an easybike hit a stationary truck at Gauripur upazila in Mymensingh district on Friday morning. The accident took place around 5.30am on the Mymensingh-Kishoreganj highway at Ruknakanda area in the upazila.
The deceased was identified as Afrin Parvin, 27, daughter of late Abdur Rashid, a resident of Damgaon village under Douhakhola union of the upazila. According to locals, Parvin used to work in Delta Spinners Mill at Kaltapara Bazaar. The victim faced the tragic accident when she along with six others were going to their workplace in the morning.
On the way, the driver of the battery-operated easybike lost control over the steering of the vehicle and hit a stationary truck from its behind, leaving Parvin dead on the spot and six others injured. The injured were rescued and taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where they were being underway treatment. Gauripur Police Station officer-in-charge Sumon Chandra Roy said on information, they recovered the body and handed over to the family without autopsy upon their request.
An unnatural death case was filed in this regard, added the OC. SIM/SA.
