Happy Pride weekend, everyone! Throughout the month, the Seattle area has been celebrating LGBTQ+ art, performers and community — and the festivities are far from over. Typically held the last Sunday of June, Seattle Pride Parade is recognizing a special milestone this weekend: the event’s 50th anniversary. Originally a 1974 rally of more than 200 LGBTQ+ people in Pioneer Square, the Seattle Pride Parade is now one of the Emerald City’s biggest events of the summer.
