Actor Mamie Laverock has been on life support after a five-story fall, but she has since opened her eyes, her family says. The “When Calls the Heart” actor’s mom, actor Nicole Rockmann, told the that Laverock is “doing well” and hoping for a “turnaround” on her health. “Mamie just opened her eyes,” Rockmann said.
“Let’s just hope this is the turnaround and she’s going to get through this now. I couldn’t be happier that people reached out and cared. The story will be told.
” Rockmann said that her daughter’s body was “shattered” after the fall and it’s “an absolute miracle” she’s alive. “All we care about is that Mamie can make a recovery and that she’s alive and that she’s fighting and that she’s strong,” Rockmann said. “It’s unbelievable that she’s with us.
” On May 11, Laverock suffered an undisclosed medical emergency and was taken to a local hospital before eventually being transferred to St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver, Canada, the reports. There, on May 26, Laverock fell five stories and was severely injured, her family says.
In the actor’s GoFundMe, the family alleges that on May 26, Laverock “was escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital and taken up to a balcony walkway from which she fell five stories.” According to Rockmann, Laverock is on life support and was off a ventilator as of May 30 after undergoing several surgeries. The actor was then transferred to an undisclosed trauma receiving center .
