Temperatures across Sussex could hit nearly 30 degrees this week as the county is expected to face a mini heatwave. Parts of Brighton , Hastings and Crawley are expected to see temperatures hit as high as 29 degrees on Friday, according to the Met Office. But high temperatures could be short-lived and come back down over the weekend.

According to the Met Office, in Brighton temperatures will climb to 25 degrees on Thursday before peaking at a sweltering 27 degrees on Friday afternoon. The heat will start to disappear by Saturday afternoon, however, before settling back to around 21 degrees on Sunday and through to the middle of next week.
