The 40mph zone has been in place since at least April 2021 on the A1307 between Huntingdon and Godmanchester – meaning just one driver per week has been fined on average. The 40mph speed limit was introduced because the safety barriers need replacing, with work initially scheduled for March 2022 by Nationa.
