A resident has said "the mood is sombre and the air feels heavy" after the tragic death of a child in Grimsby . On Wednesday, May 29 shortly after 3pm, emergency services were called to an address on Duncombe Street in Grimsby following reports of a medical emergency, and a patient was taken to hospital in an ambulance. Police are now investigating the incident, in which an infant sadly died.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained. A nearby resident told Grimsby Live: “The mood is very sombre and the air feels very heavy around here, the family are grieving.



I’ve got a one-year-old grandson who lives with me so it’s just devastating. We get a lot of anti social behaviour around here but nothing like this.” Two police vehicles could also be seen in the area on Monday (June 3).
