Customers can eat well and treat themselves too after a cafe announced plans to expand the menu. Sweet Revenge in Blackrod is known in the village for its range of homemade cakes and hot drinks. On July 15 it will celebrate its first anniversary, after a "difficult" year.
In November last year, the cafe was crashed into by a car, damaging its front end. But now the business has had a makeover and will welcome a new business, 'Combo Kitchen' into the fold. Combo Kitchen is also opening as part of it (Image: Sweet Revenge) In contrast to the sweet treats offered by the existing cafe, the new kitchen will offer healthy, protein-based meals, as well as traditional breakfast barms.
Simon Woodhead, co-owner of Sweet Revenge, said: "On July 15 it will be one year since we have been open, been a very difficult year but we have got through. He is a fantastic character and we're lucky to have him on board.
"He will offer healthy protein-based meals, offering a balance with Sweet Revenge. "The main idea is healthy food can taste rubbish, no one enjoys doing it. His menu is a flavoursome menu that isn't rubbish!" Naff's.
